Your privacy at Echo
Echo is a private place for the details of your life. This notice explains, in plain language, what we hold and how you stay in control. Last updated 2026.
What Echo stores
Only what you choose to add, plus what is needed to run your account:
- Your account details: email address, name and optional phone and photo.
- The content of your Echo: people, organisations, locations, events, tasks, records and documents, assets, memories, future messages, emergency plans, beneficiaries and the connections between them.
- Basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and working.
Why it is stored
Your information is stored for one reason: so Echo can show it back to you, organise it, and help you keep it in order. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
You are in control
Everything in your Echo is added by you. You can edit or delete any item at any time, and nothing is created or shared on your behalf without you asking for it. Echo suggests; you decide.
Information about other people
Echo will often contain details about family, friends, professionals and organisations — entered by you, the account holder. Please add only what you genuinely need, treat it with the same care you would expect, and remove it if someone asks you to.
Getting a copy of your data
Open Profile & settings and choose Export my Echo. You will receive a single, portable JSON file containing your profile, your Echo content, your connections and your beneficiaries. The export contains your data only.
Deleting your account
In Profile & settings, Delete my account permanently removes your Echo content and your sign-in account. It asks you to confirm deliberately, and it cannot be undone — export a copy first if you want to keep one.
How we protect it
- Your Echo is reachable only after you sign in.
- Every stored row is tied to your account and enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read or change another's.
- Data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers.
- Administrative access is limited to what is needed to run the service.
Cookies and tracking
Echo uses only the essential storage needed to keep you signed in. There is no advertising or third-party tracking.

ECHO is currently a private beta operated by Andreas Stylianou. It is not yet run through a dedicated incorporated company, so there is no company number or registered office address to list. This notice will be updated if that changes.
